- Who builds solar O&M buildings for EPC contractors in Texas?
- UTS BuildPros builds operations and maintenance facilities on utility-scale solar sites for EPCs. It has delivered four for WHC Energy Services, at Greater Bryant Solar in Midland County, Delaware Ranch Solar in Culberson County, a Hyundai project in Hillsboro and Chevron's SunRoper project in Houston, with two more in progress. The work runs under IRA prevailing wage and apprenticeship with certified payrolls. These are the same buildings described on our remote-site energy page: one program, counted once.
- Can UTS BuildPros build an aircraft hangar?
- Yes. UTS BuildPros is an authorized Ceco Building Systems builder, its project managers and estimator completed Ceco Builder School, and its Division President holds MBCI's standing seam roof installer certification. We have not completed a hangar yet, and we say so. A clear-span hangar is simpler to frame than the SCADA-equipped O&M buildings we deliver; what decides a hangar is the slab under the aircraft and the door it rolls through, and both are engineered before steel is ordered.
- Who handles receivership apartment renovations in Dallas-Fort Worth?
- UTS BuildPros renovates multifamily properties in receivership, special servicing and REO, bringing units back to a livable standard while residents stay in place. Landmark on the Valley in Dallas-Fort Worth is one of those projects. We produce condition assessments and line-item scopes structured for court and servicer reporting, and we are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm for the older properties these assignments usually involve.
- What should I check before hiring a metal building contractor?
- Ask for delivered projects of the same type with a reference you can call, not renderings. Ask for the contractor's EMR for each of the last three years, its single-project and aggregate bonding limits, and its prequalification grades such as ISNetworld. Ask which manufacturer it is an authorized builder for, and who is certified to install the roof system, because some weathertightness warranties require a certified installer. UTS BuildPros publishes all of these on this page.
- Does UTS BuildPros self-perform the trades?
- No. UTS BuildPros is a general contractor. Every trade is performed by subcontractors prequalified for safety record, licensing and insurance under our Subcontractor Safety Management program, run by one BuildPros project manager. That is how the same standard holds from the first site of a program to the last.
- Where does UTS BuildPros work?
- UTS BuildPros is headquartered in Richardson, Texas, builds statewide in Texas, works in Oklahoma, and holds Louisiana commercial license CL.13232. In Arkansas it holds a residential builder license only; commercial license coverage in Arkansas and Alabama can be added for a program on request.
